Another from my personal collection! Earliest original 1st UK pressing on the Polydor labels, barely played no more than a hand ful of plays from new! Features the earliest #1#1 Matrix endings! The audio is near mint cristal clear and vibrant through out! I dought that you will find a better sounding original copy! The separation is outstanding on this copy! The gate fold cover is also outstanding almost looks as good as it did from new in my opinion and very hard to find like this! 1st press!

Please Note front cover photos! I have put a censored light green block in places over the girl, so not to offend any one and to keep in line with Ebay rules!

Blind Faith were an English blues supergroup which consisted of Eric Clapton (The Yardbirds, Cream), Ginger Baker (Graham Bond Organisation, Cream), Steve Winwood (Spencer Davis Group, Traffic) and Ric Grech (Family).

The group only released one album, Blind Faith, in August 1969 and were often seen as stylistically similar to the bands which Winwood, Baker, and Clapton had most recently participated in (Traffic and Cream).

The band helped to pioneer a fusion of rock and roll with the blues!

Blind Faith's beginnings date to mid-1968, with the breakup of Cream. Rock's original supergroup had become a financial powerhouse, selling millions of records within a few years and raising the group's (and each member's) repertoire to international popularity. Despite that success, the band was crumbling from within due to frequent animosity between Jack Bruce and Ginger Baker, with Eric Clapton doing his best to mediate.

In addition, Clapton had tired of being coerced into playing commercially-driven blues, and hoped to move forward with a new, experimental, less strait-jacketed approach to the genre!

Steve Winwood was facing similar problems in The Spencer Davis Group, where he had been the lead singer for three years while they produced straight-laced blues.

Winwood wanted to experiment with the band's sound by infusing jazz elements, but left due to his musical differences, instead forming a new band -- Traffic -- in 1967. That band split temporarily in 1969, and Winwood, started to jam with his good friend Eric in Clapton's basement in Surrey, England. Winwood and Clapton had previously collaborated on the Eric Clapton record, "Powerhouse"!

The release of the album provoked controversy because the cover featured a topless pubescent girl, holding in her hands a silver space ship designed by Mick Milligan, a jeweler at the Royal College of Art.Some perceived the ship as phallic The U.S. record company issued it with an alternative cover which showed a photograph of the band on the front.

The cover art was created by photographer Bob Seidemann, a personal friend and former flatmate of Clapton who is known primarily for his photos of Janis Joplin and the Grateful Dead.

Bizarre rumors both fueled and were fueled by the controversy, among them that the young girl was Baker's illegitimate daughter or, alternatively as a fantasy, was a groupie kept in the meadowlands as a slave by the band members.

Actually, the young lass was a London suburbanite, who posed upon consent by her parents and for a handsome fee, as described in Seidemann's mini essay about the origins of the Blind Faith album cover artwork (Re: Blind Faith (album)

On initial inspection there isn't much to say about the vinyl this looks almost as new in my opinion! I can hardly see a blemish! The Vinyl lies perfectly flat on the turntable and is free from any warping! Any marks that could be possibly be seen looked under strong light would be sleeve removal marks! Try to find better after 46 years! Points to note!  These vinyls have been stored seperately in poly sleeves during its storage life which has preserved this vinyl all of these years this is how i have always stored my vinyls!

The Audio Quality

I have played the vinyl track for track and recorded the actual album for you to hear in the player above! The audio is astoundingly clear and vibrant and the separation is to die for. Only found like this on the earliest UK pressings in my opinion! There is no distortion or signs that this has been overplayed at all, in fact this vinyl has barely ever been played no more than a handful of times ever! Any interference worth to note is very isolated static tick or ticks heard only, barely any crackle noted during the play of this vinyl! Audio Graded At Least Excellent Plus To Very Near As Mint For The Most Part!

Please note! I always add this disclaimer! This album has been laying dormant in a case for over 45 years! A build up of dirt and dust in the grooves causes static/ticks/crackle! A constant cleaning before each play is highly recommended! This will reduce any static and will enhance the audio quality!

Please allow for isolated static type ticks that may be heard in the odd place during the play of this vinyl! (not consistant throughout the audio) Please remmember that this is an original 46 years old vinyl that would have originally been played on a 46 year old system!

THIS AUDIO WILL BE HARD TO SURPASS! TOP ON ALL FREQUENCIES! THE AUDIO IS CRISTAL CLEAR AND VIBRANT WITH (NO) LOUD CONSTANT CLICKS OR POPS OR THAT THIS HAS BEEN OVERPLAYED (NO) DISTORTION CERTAINLY (NO) SKIPS OR JUMPS!

This is the original poly lined sleeve (no) splits or tares! just light creasing/staining with age only!

The Cover

This is the original MacNeil Press un laminated gate fold cover! Very Very hard to find in this condition! (Barely any creases to mentionat all very minor at the spine barely noticable! No marks worth to mention all text is legible  (see photo) Superbe square spine has not suffered from crushing! (very hard to find!) Points to note! This original cover was withdrawn in some countries because of the contrivercial cover! Very hard to find like this! , beleive me.!

I have put a censored light green block over places on the front of the cover photos, so not to offend any one and to keep in line with Ebay rules!
