Description

BLIND WILLIE JACKSON AND BROTHER: Telephone to Glory / Take Your Burdens to the Lord (Herwin 92035) Primitive Mississippi gospel on this legendary label. This is Blind Roosevelt Graves and Aaron Graves, recorded at Gennett Studios 20 September 1929. "78 Quarterly" put an estimate of one or two copies known to exist on Herwin. This is a third. CONDITION: G. Very worn, but plays OK, tight hairline crack 1.5" (see scan 5 below) sounds but not very loudly. No skips. Needle runs on labels (see scan 3 below). An acceptable copy.

Please note that great care and consideration is given to all 78s in grading and packaging. First, all records are cleaned and placed in new sleeves. They are then played on a new Rek-O-Kut turntable (Shure 3.0 stylus) through a Scott tube preamp over Boston Acoustic speakers -- no "crapophones" or portable 78 players beloved by many "Antique mall dealers." Grading is then done visually AND aurally. Any and all imperfections in playback will be noted in the item description. Finally, when mailing, the record is placed between several pieces of 10" cardboard, taped securely, wrapped in bubblewrap, and cushioned with styrofoam on all six sides of a sturdy box. None of the hundreds of 78s I have shipped have ever arrived broken.

Postage will be a flat fee of $6.00 Priority plus Insurance for domestic orders. Overseas postage will be determined at auction close.

Payment is expected within 10 days of auction close. Check my other auctions for similar items. Satisfaction always guaranteed. Bid with confidence: 100% positive feedback.
