Record Playing surface & Labels
The flat playing surfaces show light paper chaffing only. No feelable marks, on play back no repetitive clicks, or jumps. This LP plays remarkably well for an African EMI pressing. The labels are complete, no stickers, scuffs or text loss. The mat finish is slightly dull and very light foxing is apparent. The spindle hole shows light signs of play only. This record was cleaned on a VPI several times before transcription and was recorded with a Garrard 301, Koetsu Coral Stone cartridge and Kondo Wired SME 312s tonearm. Under magnification the grooves are in nice order and free from deformation. Condition Grade VG+ Aural grade EX
Cover
The un-laminated gatefold cover retains much of its original colour. The front slick displays creasing and corner / seam rubbing, although all seams are true (Unsplit), the inside of the gatefold is in presentable shape. The back slick displays ringwear, rubbing and creasing. Overall grade VG-
