Description

GrammyAward winner - Album of the Year, 1969. This is the original reference test pressing sent to the band for approval and signed by four of its members - David Clayton-Thomas, Steve Katz, Jim Fielder, and Fred Lipsius. This is a one-of-a-kind item. Owned by a band member and comes with a letter of provenance. Two discs, Side 1 and Side 2, two Proofs, front and rear, put together as a fold-out with reference discs inserted in each sleeve. Condition of Discs - good, clean. Condition of artwork - good and very good. Because it is first generation, the artwork appears sharper and with better contrast than the commercial release. Some red smudging due to the pre-digital printing process.
