This is an EX / EX copy of this very hard to find UK LP on BLUE HORIZON RECORDS from 1968 in MONO - 7-63204 - by ELMORE JAMES with JOHN BRIM - "TOUGH". This is a great , stomping blues album on the famous light blue label and one of the most recognisable cover shots of the time - the dark image of an old boot sitting in mud looking 'tough'! At the time this album sold quite well as it contained never before issued material by ELMORE JAMES and hence making up the numbers there is the addition of four tracks by JOHN BRIM (who has his own 'blues' 'life story' to tell - a few recordings then disapears!). If you haven't heard John Brim, you should! The album opens with a storming version of Stormy Monday Blues from Elmore and keeps going from there. As it says in the notes -"Elmore James is dead, but for half an hour he live on". ESSENTIAL
