THAD JONES: "THE MAGNIFICENT THAD JONES" LP - On BLUE NOTE Records, #1527.   Extremely rare vintage jazz Lp.  Original MONO pressing with the classic Blue & White labels and the LEXINGTON AVE address on both labels.  The label is DEEP GROOVE on both sides.  RVG engraved by hand in the trail-off on both sides.  Thick FLAT EDGE vinyl, thick "framed" cardboard cover.  The personnel:  Thad Jones/trumpet; Billy Mitchell/tenor sax; Barry Harris/piano; Percy Heath/bass; Max Roach/drums.  The thick cover is in VG+ shape & displays nicely.  Some of bottom seam taped very discreetly.  Small price sticker tear at bottom right corner on back side only.  No cut-out marks, and the front cover graphics are particularly striking.  Address on back cover is 767 Lexington Ave., New York 21.  The vinyl is in VG- condition, very glossy in spite of some visible wear & scratches.  There is some surface noise upon playing.  Not a high-grade copy of this artifact by any means, but amazingly hard to find in any condition.  The songs are:  April In Paris; Billie-Doo; If I Love Again; If Someone Had Told Me; Thedia.
