Description

    Hank Mobley Sextet
Donald Byrd, Lee Morgan (tp) Hank Mobley (ts) Horace Silver (p) Paul Chambers (b) Charlie Persip (d), Rudy Van Gelder Studio, Hackensack, NJ, November 25, 1956 Original BLUE NOTE Lp pressing, #1540,
BLUE NOTE BLP 1540, Blue White Label, Double Sided Deep Groove, and with the Lexington Address, RVG, EAR stamped in the dead wax, no INC no "R", Made in USA. FLAT Lip Edge! Made in USA 1957   The vinyl shows some light checking visually in the surface, but it plays superbly with almost zero surface noise, it looks VG+ but it sounds near mint, a beautiful sounding pressing! The cover has light ring wear on the back paste-on and some yellowing of the paper closer to the spine, could be an old stain from water. Light edge wear all around (see pictures), light rounding at the corners, no splits, VG+.
