Description

******************

LOU DONALDSON: "WAILING WITH LOU" LP - On BLUE NOTE Records, #1545.   Extremely rare vintage jazz Lp!  Original MONO pressing with the classic Blue & White labels and the 47 WEST 63rd NEW YORK 23 address on both labels.  The label is DEEP GROOVE on both sides.  "EAR" symbol and RVG etched in the trail-off on both sides.  Thick FLAT EDGE vinyl, thick "framed" cardboard cover.  The personnel:  Donald Byrd/trumpet; Lou Donaldson/alto sax; Herman Foster/piano; 'Peck' Morrison/bass; Art Taylor/drums.  The thick cover is in VG to VG- shape with some seam wear.  Some of bottom seam taped very discreetly.  No cut-out marks, and the front cover graphics are particularly striking.  Address on back cover is 47 West 63rd St., New York 23.  The vinyl is in VG to VG- condition, still retains some gloss in spite of much visible wear & light scratches.  Not a high-grade copy of this artifact, but amazingly hard to find in any condition.  The songs are:  Caravan; Old Folks; That Good Old Feeling; Move It; There Is No Greater Love; L. D. Blues.
