SONNY ROLLINS: "VOLUME 2" LP - On BLUE NOTE Records, #1558. Extremely rare vintage jazz Lp! Original MONO pressing with the classic Blue & White labels and the 47 WEST 63rd NEW YORK 23 address on both labels. The label is DEEP GROOVE on both sides. "EAR" and RVG engraved by hand in the trail-off on both sides. Thick vinyl, thick laminated cardboard cover. The personnel: Sonny Rollins/tenor sax; Jay Jay Johnson/trombone; Horace Silver, Thelonious Monk/piano; Paul Chambers/bass; Art Blakey/drums. The vinyl is in VG+/VG condition, very high gloss with some thin needle marks or scuffs. The thick laminated cover is in VG+ shape and displays nicely. Small name on back side at top left corner. Evidence of slight lamination peel at right edge. Some of bottom seam taped very discreetly. There is a gentle 3" split at center of spine edge. No cut-out marks, and the front cover graphics are particularly striking. Address on back cover is 47 West 63rd St., New York 23. The songs are: Why Don't I; Wail March; Misterioso; Reflections; You Stepped Out Of A Dream; Poor Butterfly.
