Description

Offered here is Blue Note art director/graphic designer's John Hermansader's 2 original un-pasted cover proofs for Blue Note 5022 (Miles Davis Vol. 2). Size is 10.5x10.5"
John Hermansader was an early art director/designer for Blue Note Records. Working with legendary Jazz photographer/Blue Note co-owner Francis Wolff, he designed some of Blue Note's early iconic cover art. These pieces come from Hermansader's personal Blue Note archive.    Condition:  Proof 1 Glossy with moderate handling wear and crinkle. Moderate chipping around edges. Proof 2 is in rough shape. Heavy wear. Heavy chipping and tears. See high resolution image.
