Description
CLASSIC 60s LEE MORGAN ON BLUE NOTE VINYL!
Seldom seen in UK auctions is a United Artists pressing of Lee Morgan's The Rumproller (Blue Note BST 84199) released right at the start of Blue Note's post-Liberty United Artists era, with Lee augmented by Joe Henderson in one of his classic Blue Note supporting roles. Personally I rate these early UA editions very highly - they are typically in great condition while still being close to the source, in other words a cost-effective way of getting the Blue Note audio experience - this one packs more of a punch than some of my Liberty releases! I have fully play-tested the vinyl, so my grading is based on how the record actually sounds, as well as how it looks.
Vinyl is visually and audibly Excellent throughout. VAN GELDER stamp is present in the runout on both sides. Labels are Blue Note United Artists, indicating a 1970 United Artists Stereo pressing as per the Discogs link below, and also in Excellent condition.
Original cover is graded Excellent-, slightly downgraded due to a small cut-out in the lower left corner - in all other respects it is a strong Excellent+, which is important for one of Reid Miles' white-led covers!

Note that I separate the vinyl from the outer sleeve for postage to prevent seam splits. I use thick cardboard stiffeners and take great care in my packaging to ensure as far as possible that these records reach their destination in exactly the same condition as when they leave me, and in the way I'd like to receive them.
All items are play-tested throughout, and I strive to be comprehensive and fair in grading descriptions. If you require any further information, including photos, then let me know and I'll do my best to help.
