Description

Auction is for a RARE ORIGINAL BARBADOS PRESSING of BLUE RHYTHM COMBO'S "BLACK WATER GOLD / SWEET SPOUGE MUSIC" 45RPM SINGLE from 1973 on Merry Disc Records. Tremendous island funk from the group who brought us "Magumba", "Black Water Gold" is a killer instrumental as good as the best material off their lp. Unfortunately this is far from a clean copy. Vinyl has numerous scuffs/marks and a few deeper scratches. One of those scratches causes a click/swoosh for the first 20 seconds+ and another the same towards the end of the track. Once these pass though it's fairly enjoyable although still plays with constant noise (crackle, tics, hiss, etc.)... thankfully no skips though. For the most part this noise is overcome by the loud nature of the track. Labels have some mild wear and writing in pen/pencil. Really not that bad for a play/filler copy of an extremely rare single but I want to provide prospective buyers a good idea of what to expect. Of course this is only being offered for sale due to rarity and demand of the record. Record is SOLD AS IS.

Condition of Vinyl is GOOD+/VG-.
