Description
Unknown artist - Blue Turns To Gray / Bring It On Home To Me - Sounds On Broadway (New York, NY) original one-of-a-kind 10-inch two-sider metal acetate test pressing of professionally recorded organ-based garage rock 45 (Rolling Stones and Sam Cook covers) from 1965 (sound files above). There are no matrix numbers and no artist credits. Record is Near Mint (bring it home side has "do not play" written in faded red marker). Came from the collection of a New York City area disk jockey Johnny Dee. He was the manager/promoter of the New Jersey band Hole In The Wall, and we believe this is a variant of the recording they released on Epic later that year. Nice!
