Description

FORMAT: 78 RPM Record

GENRE: PREWAR BLUES COUNTRY BLUES CLASSIC BLUES

ARTIST: Bertha Henderson w/Blind Blake (A side) and Tiny Parham (B side)

TITLES: TERRIBLE MURDER BLUES/SO SORRY BLUES

LABEL & NUMBER: Paramount 12645

GRADE & DESCRIPTION (RECORD): V++

(I grade conservatively using the VJM scale)

NOTES: Super clean (for a Paramount) copy of this all-time classic!  This was Bertha Henderson's last record, made in Chicago in May 1928, and the sidemen are impeccable: Blind Blake's guitar on the A-side, and Tiny Parham playing piano on the B-side.  In fact, this very record is the current monthly feature (February) in John Tefteller's 2021 Blues Calendar.  By far her best record.

Check my other listings, for sure!  I've got 11 top prewar country blues & jug band records listed this week - buy them all & you'd have an enviable top-shelf starter collection.

PAYMENT REQUIRED WITHIN 48 HOURS OF AUCTION CLOSE (unless you have contacted me to make other arrangements).  If you cannot pay or have no intention to pay for your winnings, please do not bid.  It seems like such a simple concept, but here lately...

I am an experienced 78 record packer & shipper!  Records will be sandwiched between cardboard and floated in an a 12" x 12" (or larger) oversized box stuffed with filler material.  Haven't had a single record break, 100% positive record shipping both domestically and overseas.  Check my feedback, this is the real deal.

SHIPPING PRICES for 78 RPM RECORDS:

USA: $7 for 1st 78 and .50 cents each additional.  (Note that this BARELY covers postage, corrugate, peanuts, etc., and I'm actually taking a loss when you calculate that eBay charges sales tax on shipping AND THEN takes 10% of the combined shipping & sales tax as well, to say nothing of the bite that PayPal then takes of the total...)

WAIT FOR INVOICE after multiple wins for combined shipping discount!

INTERNATIONAL: $40 for 1st Record and $5 each additional.  (Price went up Sep 2020, sorry guys, the old rate didn't even cover the postage anymore...)  WAIT FOR INVOICE!

CANADA: $15 for 1st Record and $3 each additional.  WAIT FOR INVOICE!

PLEASE EMAIL ME WITH ANY ADDITIONAL QUESTIONS THAT YOU MAY HAVE BEFORE BIDDING.
