Description
You won't have a chance to buy a better copy of this record for years to come, if ever! These are two sides from Blind Lemon Jefferson's last recording session, "Bootin' Me 'Bout" (the last side he recorded) and "Empty House Blues," recorded September 24, 1929 in Richmond Indiana at the Gennett studio. This was the last record Paramount issued by Lemon, number 12946, although unfortunately a previous owner chose to rub out the catalog number on both labels. Other than that, this is a prime condition copy of this extremely rare 78. It's a very strong E- with a few mild pressing creases and heat marks that cause a bit of rumble for part of the record (most of which you won't hear if you play it in mono), and some small but noisy scratches on "Bootin' Me 'Bout" that affects about 1/3 of that side. Apart from the numbers being rubbed out, the labels are in great shape. I have run many auctions over the past 22 years and have never had a single complaint on my grading or shipping methods, so bid with confidence!
