CONDITION:

Items described with an aural grade have been carefully played on a Garrard 301 turntable with an SME 312s tonearm and Koetsu Rosewood cartridge. All records are viewed under magnified light and cleaned on a wet vac cleaning machine

We treat grading very seriously and use the UK Record Collector grading scale with the addition of a (+) or (– ) to denote a slight increase or decrease in condition.

Record:

The surfaces feature a full rainbow luster, under angled magnified light – Light paper chaffing only. The impulse labels are in superb order showing only very light signs of play to the spindle holes. No writing, rips, stickers or other blemishes. Condition grade visually = Excellent to Ex+ (EX)

Cover:

The thick Gatefold cover has retained much of its vibrant colour. All seams are straight and true – The the inside and back cover displays wonderfully No, stamps, writing or other detractors. Excellent Plus (EX+)

*Please take the time to study the images above of the actual record available in this sale and note our grading scale below

Grading Guide:

"MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklets etc are in perfect condition.

Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

NEAR MINT: Very close to Mint with only the slightest signs of play and the very lightest paper chaffing only to the surfaces of the record. The cover shows only the very slightest wear

EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.

VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

Packaging:

Records within the inner sleeve will be removed from the cover and sandwiched between professional card stiffeners then inserted into a protective plastic sleeve. This package is then placed within a professional cruciform record mailer (N.B: We do not use cheap mailers)
