BLUR: 13. ORIGINAL UK 1999 VINYL PRESSING. FOOD RECORDS: 499 1291 MINT & COMPLETE.
For auction, one of the BEST and RAREST records from the entire Britpop explosion in the UK: Blur's sensational double album "13".
Copies of this simply do not come up for sale much these days, mainly because nobody was buying vinyl 23 years ago and only a few examples were ever pressed up for the shops. Now, of course, the CD version is commonplace...but the original vinyl? Absolute collector's treasure.
And WHAT a copy we have here.
I have looked at it from all angles and in different light and am confident these records have never been played. The vinyl - BOTH discs -shine super-bright, deep and glossy without even the merest hairlines to mar it's perfection. To inspect them I noted the records had that tell-tale static resistance to leaving the inners which is always a sign they've not been out before.
The gatefold sleeve is similar, totally clean with sharp corners, stiff spine and undimmed colours. The delicate white backed interior artwork is absolutely as new. The cover even retains the original clear company hype sticker advertising that '13' contains the track Tender.
The inner sleeves cannot be faulted. No bends, no wear and no sign of previous handling . These original inner sleeves were lightly embossed, almost invisibly, with the number 13 and that subtle detail is present and correct here.
There simply cannot be another UK original out there to match this. This is how these records left the factory back in 1999.
