Magic Window (no music, this is an image only on the vinyl)

Each of the thick, heavy vinyls  look very good+ (I'm probably being a little conservative here) and play very nicely. Each side of each vinyl does have some minor scuffing, hairlines, and surface marks - these are all clearly visible but are almost entirely surface marks only, and all records retain much of their original sheen and gloss. The quality of the audio is very good+ overall but not perfect : there is some occasional background crackle and this is most evident on the first track of side 3, but I stress that the overall quality of the audio remains impressive and perfect for turning the lights low and kicking back on the sofa! The record labels are in excellent condition, being virtually unmarked except for a few very, very light spindle marks. The outer gatefold sleeve is also excellent - there is some small, limited scuffing on the edges and corners, and also on one edge at the middle of the spine, but no creasing or tears and nothing to significantly detract from the overall impressiveness of the double gatefold sleeve art work. The inner sleeves with similarly superb artwork are also excellent though there is a 3 inch split in the middle of one edge on one of the sleeves.

The nature of this package, on the ever increasingly cherished WARP record label, and comprising three thick, heavy vinyls with outstandingly impressive and unique artwork on both the outer gatefold sleeve and three inner sleeves, make this a very collectable record which will only increase in value. The overall grading for the entire package is very good to excellent (veering more towards excellent).

Note that my grading descriptions are based upon those taken from the Rare Record Price Guide :

Note : my grading is in line with the "Rare Record Price Guide" grading guidelines :

Mint Description: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint. Excellent Description: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. Very Good Description: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. Good Description: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.   Fair Description: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced. Poor Description: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing. Bad Description: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
