Description

I am parting with some of my treasured LPs.  Here's a 1965 ORIGINAL FIRST US MONO PRESSING from BOB DYLAN CL2328.   It's one of the greatest LP's in Rock history for a number of reasons.  First the LP was split up by sides. Side 1 was with an electric band, and side 2 was acoustic... Something that would prefigure his radical move at Newport Folk Festival just a couple months after this release.  It was an LP that all but invented Folk Rock.  It also brought surrealism into rock music with his lyrics which were at times full stream of consciousness.  This style would open the doors for the second half of the 60's rock to lean psychedelic, and let rock's freak flag fly.  That would be helped along in 66 with Zappa's first LP shocker, Freak Out.  And, if that wasn't enough to consider this LP one of the greatest in Rock history, the songs... They are all so great.   This copy is FANTASTIC.  It is a very clean copy. It's still in shrink, and with no signs of  age discoloration at all. The seams, spine are perfect.  There is a little smudge underneath the Columbia logo on the front cover that must be on the shrink.  This is the Columbia label with WHITE LETTERING in MONO.  The Labels show a touch of spindle wear, and the vinyl has great gloss but with some hairlines under bright light, and plays with no background sound on side 1, and a touch of background sound on side 2. The back cover also sports a stamped purple triangle at top right with the number 3 in it.  It comes with the original flimsy plastic inner.
Finding these early Dylan LP's in condition like this is a find.  They had to be in collections where the owner didn't like his music, and didn't play it.  If you're in need of a great MONO copy of this masterpiece LP, this is it.
COVER - MINT VINYL - EX

I love original pressings because I feel every LP is of it's time and place. The vinyl, and record pressings are all from that moment in time, and no re-pressing or re-mastering will ever make the sound better for me.  PLEASE CHECK OUT MY OTHER LPS FOR SALE NOW ON EBAY.  I AM POSTING SOME VERY COOL RECORDS.
SS    = (STILL SEALED) The record itself is in brand new condition, assumed never to have been played.

M      = (MINT)  The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet,
booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

M -    = (MINT MINUS)  MINT- is not MINT but is very close to it, near new, there might be a blemish or two, but overall record and jacket are like new or very close to new.

EX     = (EXCELLENT)  The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight
wear and / or creasing.

VG    = (VERY GOOD)  The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the
occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

G      = (GOOD)  The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and
contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

F       = (FAIR)  The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will
be torn, stained and / or defaced.

P       = (POOR)  The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

B       = (BAD)  The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler

We also use + or - to adjust grades in between, so...this scopes out to: SS/M/M-/EX+/EX/EX-/VG+/VG/VG-/G+/G/F/P/B
