Description
This. in my opinion, is one of Bob Dylan's greatest records. It's ithe LP entitled 'Highway 61 Revisited'. It's an original stereo recording on the UK CBS label (catalogue no. SBPG 62572) and was released in 1965. This LP is Bob Dylan's sixth studio album. It is an early pressing complete with a flipback sleeve. The musicians who accompany Dylan on this record are very high quality (see below) and the album represents Dylan's first real recorded foray into folk rock music.
OUTER SLEEVE - The sleeve which is laminated on the front is a flipback and is in fine condition with some minor wear and discolouration on the front and on the rear but with minimal damage. The flipbacks are undamaged and are in fine condition with minimal discolouration. There is some minor staining on the rear bottom left hand corner. The edges show virtually no wear or damage. The spine shows virtually no wear and the wording along the spine is 100% readable. Each of the four corners is slightly worn but this wear is hardly noticeable. It states on the rear of the sleeve - 'STEREO SBPG 62572 - Recorded in the USA by CBS a Division of the Columbia Broadcasting System, Inc. - CBS is a trademark of the Columbia Broadcasting System, Inc.''. I have graded the sleeve as VG++.
INNER SLEEVE - This is an early UK CBS orange, black and white type which features on one side various CBS artists and examples of their latest LP's with covers in black and white. On the other side is a comprehensive list of CBS artists and their works in LP format. I have graded the inner sleeve Ex.
RECORD - The record itself looks clean with some marks on both sides. There is some surface noise over the two sides of the record which is mainly audible between tracks and there are very occasional pops and clicks on both sides. There are definitely no jumps or skips on any of the tracks. The labels are the orange textured UK CBS type with black wording and both are in fine condition with some spindle marks. Considering its age this record plays very well. There is no damage to the labels on either side. The matrix numbers on the run-off grooves are as follows - side one - SBPG 62572 A//2 420 1 1 1 - side two - SBPG 62572 B//1 420 1 1 1. I have graded the record as VG++ and I believe that this is very fair.
I try to grade everything as accurately and conservatively as possible. The winner of this auction will not be disappointed. All my items are 100% guaranteed and can be returned for a full refund if the buyer is not satisfied with the product. Please see my feedback for any references required.
