This is the UK 1st press of 'Highway 61 Revisited' by Bob Dylan. This genuine 1st has the distinctive '33' instead of 33 1/3 label text and 2A-1, 2B-1 matrix. It is also complete with the original textured orange CBS labels, the original heavy vinyl and the earliest 'Patents Pending' Garrod & Lofthouse flipback laminated sleeve.
The record is in Very Good condition. The vinyl is still extremely glossy and bright with a few marks and a few harilines on both sides. On playing there is some background noise but the superb heavy vinyl still sounds warm and vibrant. The textured CBS labels is still have their deep orange colour, the black text is sharp and there is just light spindle wear.
The original flipback laminated Garrod & Lofthouse sleeve is in Very Good++ condition. The cream colour is still bright, the image is sharp and flat and the laminate has a mirrorlike shine. There is a little corner wear. The edges are still exceptionally firm. The back flipbacks are still sealed and complete. There is some discoluration but the text and picture are unworn. The whole sleeve is still extremely solid and the pinched spine is firm with clear text.
