Description

BOB DYLAN – IF YOU GOTTA GO, GO NOW b/w TO RAMONA – CBS 2921 (Dutch 45 rpm Mono). Disc is VG+; Sleeve is VG (surface, edgewear, 5 ½” seam split right side); Labels are Near Mint.

“If You Gotta Go, Go Now,” an out-take from the album Bringing It All Back Home, was recorded on January 15, 1965 and released in August of 1967, but only in the Benelux countries. This Extremely Rare Out-Take was commercially available for purchase Only in Holland, Belgium and Luxembourg, and is one of the Rarest Commercial pressings ever issued under Bob Dylan’s name. Additionally, this 45 rpm single version is an Alternate Take to the version issued on the Bootleg Series Vol. 1-3 CD box and, unlike that version, this take features background vocals overdubbed by a group called The Poppies, an all-girl group from Jackson, Mississippi. Rumors abound that Dylan was not happy with this release, which might support why IT WAS NEVER ISSUED ANYWHERE ELSE IN THE WORLD. Thus, in any condition, this single and pic sleeve are as rare as an honest politician. [Due to their faster turning speed and wider groove spread, 45 rpm pressings exhibit more detailed playback than LP pressings, which turn slower and feature more compacted groove spread.]

All vinyl records from VinylKing46 (eBay’s ORIGINAL VINYLKING) are pre-cleaned and inserted into paper inner sleeves before mailing to Buyer (unless factory sealed). Discs are packaged separately from sleeves to protect against seam splitting. Sleeves are inserted into mylar outer sleeves and both disc and sleeve are shipped in 7” EP/45-specific boxes and packed with bubble wrap or hard cardboard.

I grade conservatively and by Goldmine standards.
