We are private sellers and makelittle or no profit from selling on eBay. We are aiming to mostly sell items inorder to declutter and clear out things we no longer have an interest in.Therefore we cannot sustain the overheads of other sellers and we are not abusiness.

So please check our commentsand terms below and be aware of them if you are bidding. If they are not toyour liking then thank you for looking and we understand why you would not bid.We will not haggle over any of the conditions below, so we would rather youdidn’t bid at all.

So, when we post an item itwill be posted Royal Mail Signed For, either First or Second Class. There willbe no exceptions to this for small items so please factor this into the overallcost. For larger items we will use a suitable parcel delivery service and thiswill also be tracked.

To ensure that we get the rightpostage we will not use the eBay postagesystem. This has caused problems regarding the price eBay estimates forpostage and we will not use it. Items will, instead, be taken to a post officeand paid for over the counter. Tracking information will therefore notautomatically appear on eBay but we will add it later if required. This is toensure that the correct postage is paid in all cases, which unfortunately hasnot been out experience of the automatic eBay system.

We have also had items returnedopened, for example new and sealed records, DVDs or CDs. Such items are notsuitable for us to re-list and we clearly lose money going from a new item tosomething that has been open, played, etc. and then returned. We do not offerrefunds in such cases and we will only accept items back if they are in thesame condition in which we sold them. This also applies to items which arereturned with missing parts, such as a 2LP set which was returned with onerecord only (and a demand for a full refund).

Automatic re-listing in eBay often result in a change to the item, including the offerprice and the postage – we will try and avoid that and all postage will beSigned For. We will cancel any items where this does not appear to be the case.We do not accept bids or offer for any items, so we will ignore these if we seethem – they are usually something eBay changes when items are automaticallyrelisted.

We will not post internationally without prior agreement, and we will notuse the eBay international postage system as we have had problems with it inthe past. For example, in posting two items to two different countries, we postthese to an address in the UK and eBay apparently does the rest. In one casetwo items were mixed up and sent to the wrong addresses. We refunded all thecosts associated with this and lost both the items and a lot of money. Again,automatic re-listing usually changes this aspect of the item descriptionagainst our wishes. We will cancel anysuch bids, and notify you of this should you bid. Thank you forunderstanding this.

We are sorry if it seems harsh or draconian but weare not selling items to make large profits and our margins, after ridiculouspostage costs and eBay fees over which we have no influence, are very low. Wecannot sustain fraudulent or deceptive sales and we have to cover our postagecosts.
