Description

BOB DYLAN "THE FREEWHEELIN'" LP

2 Eye Mono press. Second commercially available mono press. "Gauranteed High Fidelity" in black and Columbia in White. Comes with original company inner sleeve. Matrix inscriptions are XLP-58717-3F and XLP-58718-2E. There also appears to be what could be the intials DW  or DL as well.

Autographed by Dylan obsessive Alan Weberman to his former roommate who actually introduced Alan to Dylan's music for the first time. The Dylan pieces we're selling are from that roommates collection. You will be hard pressed copies in better condition. The following is an excerpt from a provenance piece written by the current owner.

"In 1962, shortly after I had purchased Bob Dylan's first LP, I met Alan Weberman who was a fellow student at Michigan State University and, I thought, bore a striking resembalance to Dylan. I told him that, he asked to see the LP (never having heard of Dylan), and immediatly became obsessed with his "Doppleganger". He began to dress like the first album photo and eventionally became a self-proclaimed "Dylanologist".

The inscription in the top right hand corner reads "To Dick, Kingdoms rise & Kingdoms fall, but there is no answer, none at all". Alan has signed his name Alan "Dylan" Weberman in the lower right hand corner. Both are visable in the photos supplied.

Cover is in VG+ to NM condition. Depending on how you feel about Alan's inscriptions I suppose. Very strong seams. Light shelf wear on the bottom. Corners are very nice barring the lower right hand which has some shelf wear to it.

Vinyl is in VG+ to NM condition. Some very light surface paper scuffs but overall very glossy. Plays like a dream.

Inner lavels are in VG+ to NM condition. Only a few spindel marks but otherwise clean

Inner sleeve has some creasing on a corner but no seam splits and is in great shape.

PAYMENT: PAYPAL only! California residents will be charged sales tax.

SHIPPING: We ship to most places around the world. A list of countries we do not ship to is provided in this auction description. If you're blocked from bidding it means we don't ship to your country. Shipping costs will be calculated at the end of the auction depending on your location and shipping method. I only ship via USPS. International customers on average LP shipping costs are $15 and 7" are $7.40. Do not take this as a quote because it could vary auction to auction but this is the average.

IF THIS AUCTION OR ANY COMBINATION OF AUCTIONS YOU WIN GO OVER $30, INSURANCE COVERAGE IS MANDATORY IN THE US AND EXPRESS MAIL WILL BE REQUIRED FOR ITEMS GOING OUT OF THE COUNTRY. THESE ADDITIONAL COSTS WILL BE PAID BY THE BUYER AND WILL EXCEDE THE ORIGINAL SHIPPING QUOTE. BECAUSE THESE RECORDS CANNOT BE REPLACED AND THE DOLLAR AMOUNT MY GET A BIT HIGH. THIS IS NOT NEGOTIABLE. I JUST WANT TO MAKE SURE EVERYONE IS SAFE AND HAPPY.

DO YOU HAVE QUESTIONS?

If you do, please read the following before writing to us. If your question is not answered please feel free to write, but just about everything you could want to know should be answered here in the auction listing.

COMBINING SHIPPING FOR MULTIPLE AUCTIONS: This is totally possible. Please wait for me to send you an invoice though. The ebay postage calculator isn't accurate when it comes to multiples. It always trys to charge more than what is needed.

ENDING AN AUCTION EARLY / TAKING OFF EBAY OFFERS: WILL NOT HAPPEN! Do not ask. It doesn't matter if I know you personally, you're the best customer I have or you're offering some crazy amount of money. I love you but I'm not going to take anything down early. It's against Ebay rules and by asking me to do so it puts me in a really awkward position. And when put in a really awkward position I don't usually respond well. So yeah...if you could just place a bid that'd be awesome. Thanks!
