Description

Bob Dylan Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers "Nights at the Greeks"
Berkeley,CA June 13 & 14, 1986
previously unseen colored vinyl, collectors edition no. 30/50
Information: thanks BobsBoots

1986 saw the release of this incredible package from Germany by someone using the Berkeley label.  The slick, full color gatefold jacket  held 4 LPs that contained The complete Dylan segments from the Berkeley, CA, June 13 & 14, 1986 shows with Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers.  The black vinyl 4 LP set was severely limited to 50 copies!  But this is a never before listed color vinyl version.
The only thing to complain about is that there are no track listings or venue information listed with the package.  Not in this version. It will list the complete set list of both shows on the BackCover.

There was a brief description of this LP in  the first issue of "Live! Music  Review" (March 1993). It shows a  picture of the front cover.  Here's what they had to say:

NIGHTS AT THE GREEKS This one's a monster. 4 LPs. 2 full shows. Great gatefold cover. Fabulous European pressings. Well recorded audience tapes were used from two consecutive nights at  Berkeley's famous Greek Theater on June 13 & 14, 1986. These were some of the most intimate performances of the "True Confessions" tour with Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers. The shows are genuinely inspired and the set lists differ quite substantially. The bootleggers who manufactured this piece also have a great sense of humor. For those of you old enough to remember, there was a bootleg company in the US called Berkeley Records which used a black & silver label and always gave production credit  to "Michael Manchester". These records feature exact reproductions of the Berkeley labels and sure enough, production is credited to "Michael Manchester"! This is what I mean by a "sense of history".
