Description

3 LPs, box, and cue sheet in used condition. The records themselves look great -- see pics. They haven't been played since broadcast. The box is in pretty good shape too -- a very small tear on one side, and a bit of outward bend along the lid, though who knows how tight it ever was in the first place. It has a sticker affixed to the top left reading "TOM PETTY BOB DYLAN 2-87". The cue sheet has a staple, some handwriting, and a minor bend at one corner, otherwise it's clean.

You are bidding on a rare 3 LP set from Westwood One Radio Networks -- the Superstar Concert Series with Bob Dylan and Tom Petty, with the Heartbreakers, show 87-03 slated for broadcast the weekend of February 21, 1987. The tracks are culled from the February 1986 Sydney shows of Dylan and Petty's "True Confessions" tour, plus a few tracks from a July show in Tacoma.

This concert contains the following songs (in set list order):

  • Positively 4th Street [Dylan]
  • All Along The Watchtower [Dylan]
  • Masters Of War [Dylan]
  • I'll Remember You [Dylan]
  • I Forgot More Than You'll Ever Know [Dylan]
  • Bye Bye Johnny [Petty]
  • Breakdown [Petty]
  • Just Like A Woman [Dylan]
  • Blowin' In The Wind [Dylan]
  • That Lucky Old Sun [Dylan]
  • So You Want To Be A Rock & Roll Star [Petty]
  • Spike [Petty]
  • Like A Rolling Stone [Dylan]
  • Knockin' On Heaven's Door [Dylan]
Also included are Bob and Tom's song intros from the stage, national ads for Coke and Sprite, and a promo for the show (the final cut on side 6.) The cue sheet lists out the cuts, the segment times, and the incues and outcues. The box also includes a prepaid (well, with 22 cents) envelope addressed to Westwood One in Culver City, CA. Talk about a snazzy bonus!
