Description

This is the SUPER RARE original 1967 UK *ACETATE *by BOB DYLAN, 14 track BASEMENT TAPES LP on the Emidisc white label, hand written label

Super Super RARE, ONLY 8 of these ACETATES WERE MADE!

Recorded between June - September 1967, so its same to assume the acetate was made shortly after in late September, early October 1967
Track listing is:-

Side 1:- Million Dollar Bash
Heavy and a bottle of bread
               Please Mrs Henry
               Down in the flood
               Lo and behold
               Tighny Montgomery
               This wheels on fire

Side 2:-  You aint going nowhere
                I shall be released
                Too much of nothing
                Tears of rage
                Mighty Quinn
                Open the door Richard
                Nothing was delivered

Condition:-

The acetate is in FAIR condition, covered in marks, both sides. However it hasn't been played that many times, as their is plenty of the thin vinyl coating on both sides. Both sides, all 14 tracks play with light-medium crackle througout. Their is a tiny tiny jump near the start of 'Million dollor bash', other than that their is NO other jumps, NO sticking.

**HOWEVER**, I have played both sides once and Bob Dyaln's vocals and backing (by the BAND) come through clear and bright, no sound distortion, no fuzz, and although their is underlying crackle it really is great to listen too.

The Emidisc white labels, are in VG  / VG+ condition, hand written in red pen, Side 1's label is VG+, not faded and fairly clean, Side 2's label is VG, fairly clean, but is smudged / blured by water, on the lower half of the label.

** The fact that these Emidisc label's are hand written would suggest that this is possibly the 1st or 2nd acetate made, as their was one auctioned on ebay in 2006 that hand typed label's, this would make sense as the very first few were possibly quickly done so that it could be listened too and the track listing was known from the label's. Making this even more Rarer !!!??? **

The acetate is housed in a thick white paper sleeve, not the original but possibly contempory
