Description
From 1962, comes Bob Dylan with his first LP entitled Bob Dylan on Columbia/CBS CS8579 white 360 label. This is an extremely rare U.S. copy manufactured and utilized for export to France. Every mention of Columbia on both the LP cover and the record label has been covered over with CBS stickers! On the front cover are two stickers-one in the upper left with the "eye" in a box logo and a small CBS sticker lower left. On the rear cover,upper right is a CBS sticker with the "eye" logo in a box and on the bottom are two small CBS stickers where it had said Columbia and a tiny blank sticker at the beginning of the liner notes(the liner notes originally began with the words,"Columbia Records...", now it just says "-----Records..." On both sides of the label, is a rim-edge round sticker on the top half of the label (above the label groove) which contains 3 CBS logos with "eye" in the box. There is a small CBS sticker covering up Columbia in the lower left perimeter print on each side of the label also. Every mention of Columbia has a CBS sticker over it! The label and cover read,"Printed in USA". I believe this was an export to France, as there is a French name written upper right front cover. This also could have been a planned prototype for an export idea that never occurred! This is the only one I've ever seen or heard of like this! I have spoken to several Dylan collectors and they have never heard of this item either! This may be a one-of-a-kind item!!
Inside is the same album we all know, with thirteen songs, including Dylan's own Song To Woody. Most of the songs on this album were not written by Dylan; as such it is unique among his albums!

THE DEFINITION OF MINT MINUS IS THAT THE ITEM HAS BEEN TOUCHED BY HUMAN HANDS AND PERHAPS PLAYED ONCE.FLAWS: High spot rubs on front cover,name upper right front cover,high spot dirt on rear cover,nick on bottom seam.
GRADING: Both cover and record are better than VG+ but not VG++.
