Description
Hello- I'm Bill, and over the next few weeks I'll be selling off my treasured record collection, a course of action forced on me by an imminent move and enforced retirement. I've collected music all my adult life, and will be sad to see it all go . My tastes have varied over the years, as you'll see, but folk and rock have been the backbone of my collection.Over the next few weeks there will be some rarities appearing, believe me! All records will be in at least EX condition, and a lot of NM's too. I'm loathe to use NM, once it's played, it's played, but I try to stick to the RC guidelines, even if my grading is too severe! All records are inspected under a good light, and none are cleaned, only brushed. I know everyone has their own favourite cleaning methods, so why deprive you of the pleasure?(Jan 06)
Now back after a longer than expected hospitalisation and recovery, I’m fit and back on course. Many apologies to those of you who have been waiting to see what comes next. Hopefully this weekend’s offerings will satisfy!......Bill. (Apr 15 06)
This weekend (22 April) I’m selling some of my Dylan. Starting tonight with some odd ones, and over the weekend offering the first 9 of Bob Dylan’s albums, all mono first pressing, all in superb condition. Fri 21 April.
Sat 22 April.
The next one tonight is Dylan’s sixth Album, from 1965, titled ‘Highway 61 Revisited’
It is the UK FIRST PRESSING in MONO Format.
The cover has a laminated front which is excellent, apart from a little laminate creasing and a tiny corner wear. The spine is straight and very easily legible. The back, unlaminated, is a little grubby, otherwise excellent.
The inner sleeve is in good order too.
The vinyl is absolutely excellent. Side 1 has just a couple of very faint spider marks, completely non-sounding. Side 2 has tiny removal scuffs, again non-sounding. Very close to NM !!! It certainly plays NM.
The labels are very very clean, with only a few spindle marks.
All in all, probably as good a copy as exists, especially when you consider its 41 years!
One not to be missed!
