Description
BOB GIFFORD
OOIE BLUES
Manco Records was a little label that operated in the early '60s in Ft. Worth, Texas. For the most part, they specialized in country recordings of local acts. Some were better than others, but the whole label captured a snapshot of a sound long, long gone.
On this single you hear Bob Gifford as he was in 1960. The sound straddles the line between two other Texans, Hank Thompson and Jim Reeves.
The songs are "Ooie Blues” and “Mary Goes Around (Like A Merry-Go-Round)."
