This is one of the most extravagant pieces that I have come across in the last   
few years. How this got a release in South America, only God knows! It was  
released on the tiny and ephemeral Magenta label, and features and exclusive  
picture sleeve (the original Canadian pressing comes in a generic one). Below   
is a comment from the net related to this stuff:  
 
"Mega Obscure Ottawa, Canadian Frat Garage! Souped-up "Louie Louie" inspired   
Heinz cover and a nice Folk-rock cover of the great Phil Ochs tune. Bob Harrington   
hit the scene in 1962 as the original lead vocalist for The Esquires on Capitol Records   
(he's on their first 2 singles). Here, Bob is backed by his 1964 replacement in the   
Esquires! - Don Norman & The Other 4, whose members also produced this record.   
In fact, it was recorded at the same session as "The Bounce", their Barry 45 - a two   
record demo deal they negotiated with Quality Records in Toronto. John D. Pozer   
(CJET Radio, Saturday Date tv show & future Sir John A. Records founder) was   
managing both acts at the time. It is well documented that fewer than 500 copies were   
made, and that many were melted back in the vinyl vat at Quality Records. Possibly the   
rarest Sir John A. related record, and certainly the rarest material by Don & The Other 4.   
Lack of distribution and poor sales are actually what prompted Pozer to start his own   
indie label with Other 4 organist/guitarist Ron Greene in November 1966".  
 
Concerning this Magenta release, I can only add that probably less than 100 copies   
have ever been pressed (or even fewer). And it's the only example I've seen in years.  
It is in stunning condition.   
 
This is a must have for serious Canadian garage-punk collectors, and it's likely a piece   
that won't be seen again for years to come!
