BOB SEGER & The Silver Bullet Band ~ NIGHT MOVES ~ MFSL 1-034 LP Condition: Visually NM-. Please read grading and grades below!
- LPs are not play graded! I do not play grade for two reasons: First, every TT stylus tracks and plays differently, thus, what you hear and I hear are most likely different. Second, under the same lighting and assuming 20/20 vision, we see the same thing.
- LPs are visually graded under a bright 100W or greater bulb. Please do not hold me accountable for play grade given the LPs are visually graded and my commitment to providing an accurate visual grade.
- Mobile Fidelity did not "dehorn" their lps, a process that removes excess vinyl from the grooves. Dehorning is an abrasive process that can abrade the groove causing a loss in sonic quality. MOFI preferred a significantly less abrasive process, a natural one...a dozen or so plays with the diamond stylus does the dehorning work. Thus. MOFI LPs take a while to break-in, often play significantly better after 12-20 plays.
- Occasionally, I may miss something. If I do, please let me know and let's work it out.
- Get you a rare audiophile LP that you are happy.
- Raise some funds from sale that support a young man with autism attend a work program.
- Avoid drama, hassle on all ends.
VISUAL GRADING (GOLDMINE STANDARD)
M Mint - usually reserved for sealed records.
NM Near Mint is not quite perfect, has only one or two insignificant defects such as sleeve scuff or light mark. Often these lps are audibly perfect or close. Marks may be found in the entry and trail-off areas.
NM-/Excellent Near Mint-/Excellent is visually very nice, close to NM, but not quite as the lp may have a hairline or a couple of marks. Some TT set-ups will play without issue. All depends on the mark and the stylus.
VG++ (or NM-) Extremely nice, would be NM- except for a few light hairline scratches or scuffs which do not affect play.
VG+ A nice but used record that may have a series of light scuffs or scratches. It may play with a few pops or ticks but no serious problems.
VG A well used record that still sounds OK but may have moderate surface noise, pops, etc.
