Description

  • Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band released their 12th studio album "The Distance" in December 1982 on Capitol Records. There were three hit singles on this double platinum album, "Shame On The Moon," "Even Now," and "Roll Me Away." Special guests included Glenn Frey, Don Felder, Bonnie Raitt, Roy Bittan, and Davey Johnstone.

  • This promo copy (ST-12254) is from the first pressing and is in excellent condition. The cover and inner sleeve have only minor wear and are easily VG+. Please see the pictures. The disc test plays cleanly and is also VG+ which is as high as I go on vintage vinyl. It was mastered by Wally Traugott at Capitol Records in Hollywood and was pressed at the Capitol Records plant in Jacksonville, Illinois. The Side 1 dead wax is etched ST-1-12254 F-12 #1 Wally and stamped Mastered By Capitol 0.

  • In addition to its original packaging, this album will come with a high quality Anti-Static Round Bottom Inner Sleeve to hold the vinyl disc and a sturdy 3 mil. polyethylene Archival Quality Outer Sleeve.  It will ship securely in the special corrugated Album Mailer seen in the last picture.

  • This vintage 12" vinyl album has been sitting upright on a shelf in climate controlled storage for the past 39 years. It has not been played in decades other than a quick test spin for this sale which found no skips or obvious flaws. Like all used records it should be cleaned and wiped with an anti-static brush to minimize the occasional pops that are part of playing vinyl albums. Buyers should note that this is a well-cared for but used record and it will have some minor imperfections.
