- BOOGSIE PHASE II PAN GROOVE Lp. Original West Indies pressing on SHARC PRODUCTIONS label (SS1079), from 1979. Seldom seen or heard steel pan session with a very funked-up caribbean disco / boogie / jazz / soul / electro backing band. Top afro horn section / fender rhodes / congas / moog / clavinet etc etc. Features the amazing WEIGHT with James Mason / jazz dance influenced sound during the long funky breaks. Also desirable for an unknown and brilliant cover version of Roy Ayers' CAN'T YOU SEE ME complete with funky B-Boy drum breaks / male scat vocals and infectious proto house / garage disco groove. More drum breaks / funky beats and eclectic steel pan jazz-funk with handclaps and shades of electro on PUNK PARTY and BOOGIE KAISO. Great for DJs. Long compositions with hypnotic loops and samples galore. Rare Lp!!!

JACKET: VG- / G++ there's a small stain where on the front where a price tag is ( larger than tag, about 1" in diameter) some light cracking / edge wear on bottom edge. It's singed on the back by LEn Bgoogsie shape " to friend with love" and there's a small bit of the cover peeled off About 1/2" where the signature is. Other light general wear , corner wear,etc.
