------very inspired covers on this rare jamaican pressing, plus some really good originals.
Blending Reggae, Roots, Dub, Funk, Soul seamlessly. There is a reissue floating around, but this is the real deal, original thick pressing and mostly very clean sounding.
IN DEMAND especially for those DJ's who want to select some for the dance crowd. Melting pot is a triple hitter, one for the dance floor, two for one of the best instrumental cover tracks (lifted from booker t. and mg's), and three, heavy breaks for the sample crates. several bars of open breaks, and also isolated hand percussion ish. NICE
Heads up.

GRADING GUIDE________________

groove_yard_records grading proceedure starts as a natural passion of caring for the volitile manner of vinyl and other analog audio sources. I always manually wash and inspect a record with the level of a forensic investigator before I lay it down on the platter and play. This immediately rules out any damage caused by debris that would be cleaned at washing, or sources out crackle/damage from a possible previous owners worn needle, or a myraid of other dirt/grease/improper cartridge problems. Every record is then played on a Technics 1200 mkII turntable outfitted with an [1.6 gram] Ortofon omb10 cartridge, thus every record is graded first by audio quality regardless of how clean a record looks by eye.

• M/SS : (Mint / Still Sealed) Highest possible grade, still sealed.

• NM : (Near Mint) Record possibly never played, perfect shape, not sealed.

•EX : (Excellent) Visibly clean, minimal surface scuffs, very few audio artifacts (pops, clicks)

• VG : (Very Good) Record definitly used, but taken care of. Minimal crackles and pops, hairline scratches.

• G : (Good) Many visible scuffs, possible scratches and minimal skips. Pronounced crackles and pops in areas.

• P: (Poor) Many hard pops, crackles, skips and or disc damage, warpage, cracks.
