BOYS NEXT DOOR MODELS KBD AUS PUNK SINGLE This is an original issue of the famous give-away record from the Crystal Ballroom punk venue in St. Kilda, Melbourne featuring one track each by the Boys Next Door (later to become The Birthday Party) and the Models. Both of these bands went on to bigger and arguably better things but in terms of historical significance and rarity this outshines most of their other releases. There was a fair amount of rivalry between the two outfits as to who was the most popular draw-card of the time and fans were pretty evenly divided so when this show was put on with a give away record interest ran high. Needles to say many were lost, damaged or destroyed on the night and with the passage of the 26 years since, the total amount of these has certainly dwindled. A must have if you like Nick Cave, the Birthday Party, the Models or any of the offshoots of these bands, this is right back at the beginning. Both fold-over cover and record are in Excellent condition.
