Bidders may notice that the following grading description is very similar to many other similar 1950’s classical LPs I currently have listed or am going to be listing over the next few weeks. This is due to the almost identical, practically ‘archive’ condition of the entire collection. Do check out my other listings if these are of interest. I am adding records every day.
Sleeve Condition: NEAR MINT: apart from a hint of ringwear, unblemished. A lovely, glossy, near perfect example.
Record Condition: Ex: looks un-played, no evidence of spindle centring marks, obviously rarely if ever played. There is a hint of groove whisper, not obtrusive but it is there from time to time in the form of crackle or tick.
This is only one of many similar LPs I have currently listed or will shortly be listing. They are all from a small collection of early classical Decca SXL and EMI ASD Stereo and some Mono LXT and CSD LPs. All are in the most extraordinary, Near Mint condition. It would not be an exaggeration to describe the entire collection as in, ‘archive’ condition. In 25 years of record dealing and over 40 years of collecting myself, I have never come across records so perfectly cared for is almost perfectly preserved inner and outer sleeves.
