Description
PLEASE NOTE: I WILL ONLY GRADE AN OPENED LP NEAR MINT (NM) IF I CAN GUARANTEE IT HAS NEVER BEEN PLAYED (i.e. I AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER). OTHERWISE, NEAR MINT MINUS (NM-) IS THE ABSOLUTE HIGHEST GRADE I WILL ASSIGN AN OPENED LP.
RARE original Phonodisc UK first pressing from December of 1977 on Polydor with poly-lined stamped inner sleeve and orange circular Jem import tag in the bottom left hand corner on the front cover!!! Features an incredible supporting cast including Moebius and Roedelius (Cluster), Fred Frith (Henry Cow), Phil Manzanera (Roxy Music) Robert Fripp (King Crimson) and Phil Collins (Genesis) just to name a few! LP is VG with some light paper scuffs. Cover is a nice VG with a bit of ring. Even has the original $3.00 Wax Trax! Records price sticker in the top right hand corner on the front cover from when the legendary label ran a store on Lincoln Avenue decades ago here in Chicago and exclusively sold records that matter. THAT'S provenance. King's Lead Hat is worth the price of admission on its own merit (The Cars' Shake It Up is a carbon copy) but this whole album is groundbreaking.
I USE GOLDMINE GRADING~ MINT (SEALED) NEAR MINT: LOOKS UNPLAYED VG++: VERY VERY MINIMAL SIGNS OF US VG+: AVERAGE SIGNS OF USE, NOTHING DEEP, SUPERFICIAL VG: STILL AN OK RECORD, NOISE BETWEEN SONGS GOOD: WORN BUT PLAYS FINE WITH DISTRACTING NOISE POOR: FILLER COPY ONLY. LOTS OF SCRATCHES
