'BRIAN JONES OUTSIDE FLAT WHERE GIRL WAS FOUND' 19 MARCH 1968

ULTRA RARE ORIGINAL 1968 B/W 7"x10" UK PRESS PHOTOGRAPH

This is part of a larger collection of original 1960s and 1970s black and white rock photographs featuring such artists as Jimi Hendrix, The Rolling Stones and Led Zeppelin. More will be listed on eBay in the next few weeks.

This photograph is NOT a new reproduction, but an original 1968 unframed print.

The rear of this original 1968 print has the following handwritten in red ink:

"Brian Jones outside flat where girl was found"

Jones' name is ringed in blue biro and the rear of the print also has a blue ink press library rubber stamp mark which is very, very faded, but appears to be dated 19 March 1968. Painstaking research (well, a minute on the Brian Jones Fanclub website) indicates that this was probably taken in London in the Spring of 1968, following an overdose by Jones' on/off girlfriend Linda Keith.

CONDITION: EXCELLENT I'm on much sounder ground grading vinyl, so I'll just describe this as I see it. This 183mm x 256mm black and white photograph would have been developed for use in a press library, and so would have been handled by many people. The four edges are crisp with no tears although there is some creasing to the corners, most noticeably in the top righthand corner. Overall, the photo is clean and bright. The rear of the print has discoloured slightly from its original white and has some inky fingerpints as well as the handwriting etc as described above. Please see the photographs below.

All photographs will be placed in a new polythene sleeve, before being carefully packed WITH TWO CARDBOARD STIFFENERS. Please try to recycle the packing cardboard if possible - it might just help to offset the damage done when it was originally manufactured. Alternatively, throw it away and set fire to a couple of old tyres.

Certificates of Posting are obtained for all packets despatched, without exception.

I always strongly recommend that you select the insured option for postage irrespective of the value of the contents.
