Description
Here is a beautiful promo copy of a single by Hale & the Hushabyes: YES SIR, THAT'S MY BABY b/w 900 QUETZELS (Apogee 408). This record, released in 1964, was re-issued a couple of weeks later with a different instrumental B-side as Reprise 0299, also under the name Hale & the Hushabyes. The York version, with "Bee Side Soul" on the flip was released 3 years later as The Date with Soul (York 408). If you already you have the York and Reprise versions, complete the set and bid now!
Hale and the Hushabyes is actually a pseudonym given to the combined efforts of Phil Spector protegee Jack Nitzsche (who produced and arranged), Sonny & Cher, Jackie De Shannon, Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys (who offers his unmistakable falsetto on Side A), and Sandy Wynns (who provides lead vocals, though it is also argued that Edna Wright, sister of Darlene Wright, aka Darlene Love, of the Blossoms, is lead vocalist).
