The Album Plays Excellently Throughout
(Beautiful gleaming vinyl surfaces which retain their original deep mirror shine and lustre. Only a few very light wispy hairlines and some light inaudible faint marks can be seen under a strong light. Play tested today with excellent sound quality throughout. Very sharp and clear sound, only occasional touches of light audible crackle can be heard in some sections and in between tracks. No skips, no jumps, no sticking, no serious loud pops that are noticeable. This 1970 United Artists first pressing still retains its full gloss and sheen with beautiful surfaces, and judging by the labels it has been looked after and cared for extremely well. A great original UK 1st pressing of this increasingly rare LP)
Labels: MINT-
(Original first pressing Orange and Mauve UA labels are in beautiful condition.....Both sides are very clean with only 2 or 3 faint spindle traces and barely any wear around the centre holes. A lovely set of these rarely seen United Artists 1st press labels)
Gatefold Sleeve: EX
(Thick textured gatefold sleeve by Teenburger Designs. This is the very rare original 1st press super heavy textured gatefold cover. These original textured covers are so hard to find and to keep in tip top condition. This copy is in lovely excellent condition. There are No tears, No writing, No nasty grubby marks or rips. Only a little light shelfwear rubbing on the top and bottom seam near the opening. The inside panels of the gatefold are super clean with just some light creases near the centrefold as is usual with these thicker style gatefolds. The spine is solid and straight with all text clear and fully legible. A lovely example of this 41 years vintage cover and I'm sure one of the best you can find. Please see pics)
Lyric Insert: EX
(Only mild and light creasing along the left edge and lower right corner, nothing serious at all. No writing, No tears, No splits, No rips, No stickers. A lovely example of this RARELY SEEN original 1st PRESS LYRIC / ART INSERT!!)

1970 UK ORIGINAL UNITED ARTISTS LABEL 1ST PRESS LP COMPLETE WITH RARE LYRIC INSERT!
FEATURES NICK LOWE AND MEMBERS OF THE EARLIER BAND, KIPPINGTON LODGE.
ALL THE SONGS WRITTEN BY THE GREAT NICK LOWE, IN MY OPINION, A VASTLY UNDERATED SINGER/SONGWRITER, LATER TO RECORD FOR STIFF RECORDS AND CREATOR OF NUMEROUS GREAT SOLO ALBUMS.
ALTHOUGH THIS ALBUM ATTRACTED ENTHUSIASTIC REVIEWS AND QUITE A BIT OF RADIO PLAY IN 1970, IT WAS NOT A BIG SELLER AND WAS DELETED VERY SOON AFTER IT'S INITIAL RELEASE!
A SUPERB ALBUM OF GREAT ROCK, BLUES AND REFLECTIVE RURAL PROG WITH SUPERB VOCALS AND MUSICIANSHIP - RARELY TURNS UP ON THIS, THE EARLIEST POSSIBLE FIRST UK PRESSING.
AN ORIGINAL BRITISH UNITED ARTISTS 1ST ISSUE 1970 MAUVE / ORANGE LABELS + THICK VINYL AND THE ORIGINAL FULLY TEXTURED GATEFOLD COVER COMPLETE WITH ORIGINAL AND VERY RARE LYRIC INSERT!!
THE DISC HAS A COUPLE OF FAINT AND SMALL WISPY "HAIRLINES" VISIBLE IN STRONG LIGHT BUT PLAYS EXCELLENTLY THROUGHOUT WITH A LOVELY WARM AND RICH SOUND WITH PLENTY OF BASS!
NO NASTY DISTORTION, NO CLICKS, NO STICKS, NO JUMPS! EXCELLENT SOUND ALL THE WAY!
SUPER THICK AND FLAT VINYL! UNMARKED CLEAN LABELS!
THE GATEFOLD COVER HAS NO NASTY CREASES, NO WRITING, NO RIPS OR REPAIRS AND THE SPINE IS THICK AND EASY TO READ! JUST A LITTLE SLIGHT WEAR AT THE CORNERS AND ON THE SEAMS.
LOVELY AND CLEAN - JUST ABOUT THE BEST COVER I HAVE SEEN FOR THIS LP!
THIS MAUVE AND ORANGE LABEL DESIGN FROM 1970 WAS SHORT LIVED AND WAS SOON TO BE REPLACED BY THE MORE COMMON CREAM COLOUR LABEL DESIGN.
I DOUBT IF YOU CAN FIND A MUCH BETTER ORIGINAL COPY OF THIS RARE AND ELUSIVE EARLY 70's RURAL PROG ROCK LP + LYRIC INSERT!!
A FANTASTIC AND VERY RARE LP - YOU NEED THIS ONE!!

Records / CDs Are Graded In The Following Way:
MINT (M): The record / cd displays barely any signs of use, if any, with no marks or deterioration in sound quality. Extra items and cover are near perfect.
EXCELLENT (EX): Shows only minor signs of being played with very little lessening in sound quality. The Cover and extras will have some light wear and or creasing
VERY GOOD (VG): Has been played many times but has no major deterioration in sound quality, despite some noticeable surface marks and occasional light scratches. Cover and extras will have normal wear and tear but no major defects
GOOD (G): Has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and any extras may suffer from folding, scuffing, split spine, discoloration etc.
FAIR (F): The record is still just playable and has considerable surface noise and may even jump. Cover and contents will be torn stained and/or defaced.
POOR (P): The record will not play properly. Covers badly damaged or partly missing
+ or - : Indicates slightly better (+) or slightly lesser (-) condition than main grade
All records / cd's are from my personal collection and have been carefully play graded before listing. In many cases I have owned them from new and all have been looked after very well. Please check out my other similar items currently listed on eBay.
