VARIOUS ARTISTS - " BRITISH MUSIC SCENE - VOLUME 1 ", Royal Records (JBLP 306) 1983.

Very rare 1983 compilation LP featuring a selection including rare New Wave and Synth Pop.

Professionally cleaned on my Moth record cleaning machine and then put in a fresh new poly-lined inner sleeve (the original inner sleeve has also been retained and included in the auction - see photo).


CONDITION:
VINYL  =  EX-(No deep scratches, groove damage, excessive surface noise, distortion, etc. Barely any spindle trails on the label suggests that this LP has had very light use. Looking at the vinyl under a bright grading lamp reveals a few light surface marks that do no correspond to any audible defects. That said, I have had to mark the LP down for two reasons; light surface noise inherent in the pressing - nothing loud or consistent enough to completely ruin the record and as a small quantity low budget release, you do have to accept a degree of this is poresent on all copies of this LP. The second flaw is a slight edge warp - on my turntable with 1.5 grams on the tone arm, it plays without a hitch. No jumping or degredation of audio. I actually briefly checked how this LP would fair at 45 rpm and it still didn't jump, so I think this edge warp can be written off as just a cosmetic flaw.

Note: for the purposes of this listing I have tested this LP on my Linn LP12 Sondek turntable - generally this is quite a critical test, but I must point out that I cannot guarantee exactly how this LP will sound on your turntable - common sense for most... but then this is ebay!!!)


SLEEVE = V.G. (A bit worn around the edges and corners, with light signs of shelf wear on both covers. There is also a tiny sticker tear on the front cover - see photos for further clarification)
