Description
The legendary 1975 Elton John album “Captain Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy” pressed on brown vinyl (MCA-2142, MCA-734/MCA-735). This limited production promotional item includes exquisite (yes, absolutely perfect) blue pen signatures of Elton and Bernie Taupin at the bottom left corner of their respective gatefold interior photographs. The vinyl (EX-) has been stored outside the album cover in a separate archive-grade white paper sleeve, while the original paper sleeve and all inserts (poster, Scraps, and Lyrics - all NM) have been stored within the album cover (VG+). This is a very presentable example, with one slight flaw. It appears Elton may have spilled his beverage of choice on the left side of his photo when signing (actually, I have no idea of the source of this slight stain). This is very slight, but discernable, and must be recognized. I will gladly provide additonal photos accurately depicting same to genuinely interested buyers.
All has been stored sealed in polyvinyl in a climate-controlled environment since I acquired many years ago. As most of you are familiar with this rarity, I doubt that it is necessary, but a certificate of authenticity is included as provided by the very well known collectibles dealer from whom this was obtained. A wonderful opportunity to acquire a great 30 year old EJ collectible at a fair price.
