Description
Intoxicating power pop from Houston, TX. Originally recorded as a studio project and released under the brainchild's namesake, Bruce Moody, all four songs on the Fresh Out EP are simply perfect. Three of the musicians from the session including Moody decided to take it to the stage in the summer of ’82 doing a three month stint in Galveston under the name Walkee Talkee. They designed a new "Walkee Talkee" picture sleeve to help market the EP. The actual record, back sleeve, and insert are all the same as the original "Bruce Moody" version which initially was only sold in shops around Houston and Austin, but a few of these alternate front sleeve versions were dispersed during their short time in Galveston and who knows how many of those still exist or will ever surface. Up for auction here is a copy of the Fresh Out EP with the very rare Walkee Talkee sleeve. It has minor creasing and a bend in the top left corner. No rips, tears or writing. The insert is creased in the same place. The vinyl I'm going to grade VG+. The A side looks and plays really nice but the B side does have some marks that cause occasional pops, mostly in quiet passages. The music for the most part covers it up. Sound clips could be provided if you'd like to hear it for yourself. I'm happy to answer any questions or provide more photos.
