BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN - "Pink Cadillac"
10" acetate, made of acetate material on a metal core Two-sided, contains two versions of 'PC'. I can't really tell if they're different from the released version or even if they're different from each other but my GUESS is that they're mono and stereo versions, and that it's like a test pressing for the mono/stereo promo 45. But I don't know! It does seem to have a pretty echo-ey sound, maybe moreso than the familar version.
I don't know anything about the origin or provenance of this record. It came along with the purchase of an estate record collection from a now-deceased collector. He had a wide range of records but mostly '50s/ early 60s R&R, and some more contemporary things too (like Abba and The Runaways; he liked girl groups, new or old). I have suspicions as to it's authenticity... not because it doesn't look right (it DOES look right) but because there's no logical reason for such an item to have been in this collection. I think there's a real possibility it's not legitimate, so I'm selling it for it's value as a collectible/ artifact. In any case it's an interesting and cool piece, and would be a great addition to any Bruce collection.
Record: visually, it has a few minor scuffs and hairlines. Plays without excessive noise and of course no skips, though it does not sound 'perfect' (not as good as a clean regular record). There's some grease pencil marks in the deadwax in the center and in the outer groove which could probably be removed if you wanted to do so. Labels are as shown; note that although they look like they are 'yellowed' that is really just an effect from my scanner, they are NOT yellowed.
