CONDITION OF COVER . . . E
CONDITION OF DISC . . . . . E
If it's that witchy teal green label, then it must be International Artists! Truly fine-looking first U.S. pressing of the Bubble Puppy LP "A Gathering of Promises." Dead wax does not say "Masterfonics." Rich, unfaded cover art. Produced by Ray Rush. Engineered by the esteemed Hank Poole. Wasn't he the technician who did such wonderful work on the Golden Dawn LP? The IA label was run by Lelan Rogers, the unlikely brother of Kenny Rogers. "High Doodling" is the style of the other-worldly back cover drawing, no doubt completed during a boring 11th-grade math class. Album opens with "Hot Smoke & Sasafrass," the most cacophonic song ever to make it to Top 40 radio. (International Artists stereo IA-LP10).
CONDITION OF COVER: This artifact has been treated with care. Cover has no marks, stains, tears, stickers, seam splits, writing or cut-out marks. Hardly any back-cover ring wear. Only about five inches of light front-cover ring wear, plus about a brief nine inches of very faint front ring compression.. Light corner banging with a one-inch semi-crease at bottom right corner. These are minor blemishes that detract very little from this copy's fine visual quality. Cover design has sharp print & rich, unfaded colors. Teal green International Artists label & spindle hole are in excellent condition.
CONDITION OF DISC: Record has no scratches or skips. Platter gives off a nice reflection. There is a faint scuff on the last few revolutions of side B cut one that yields a faint brushing sound & a barely-visible inaudible surface fleck on side A cuts three & four. This & the other faint surface noise remain at a constant low volume which I do not believe will hinder your listening pleasure. No sign of warping. No wear on slick run-out grooves. (Matrix # IA LP 10). I grade the cover as E ("Excellent") & the disc as E ("Excellent").
