Description
For auction is BUD POWELL: "Jazz Giant" on Norgran MG N-1063, MONO, DG, 1956.
SOUND: VG
It has been machine-cleaned and I listened to both sides completely. There is one area of concern in A2, "Celia," due to a couple of quick (back-to-back) skips (not repeats), followed by a brief interval of "pops." The problem lasts a short time (maybe 45 seconds) then disappears. The playback on the rest of the record varies from VG to VG+, depending on the absence/presence of soft surface noise or static, none of which interferes with the music. Overall, the record is very enjoyable!
VINYL: VG
Visually, the vinyl is nice. It's fairly glossy and clean. There are a few routine needle marks or scuffs on either side. Only one is deep enough for me to feel, this is in A2, "Celia" and does affect the playback briefly, as described above. The record is on yellow or gold Norgren label with trumpet player, and there are deep grooves on both labels.
COVER: VG/VG+
The cover is in pretty nice condition. The edges are solid, except for a 2-inch split top right. Otherwise, routine light wear on edges and corners. The front is fairly clean and unmarked, with a touch of shelf/ring-wear. Same goes for the back, with a couple stray marks in blue pen as well as the owner's name.

Every record I auction has been cleaned on a Nitty Gritty vacuum/cleaner. I played every record to determine if there are static, tics, pops, hisses, what have you. I endeavor to thoroughly report any extraneous audio "noise" or problems of any significance. Other than that, I will report on the general condition of each record, both vinyl and jacket, according to Goldmine standards, to the best of my ability.
Every record is put into a new, clean sleeve insert. In the case of an interesting original sleeve insert, I'll include that in the sale.
If you're into this stuff, you might want to save me to your seller's list and check back periodically. I'll be putting a lot of vintage jazz records up for auction.
