Offered for your consideration is this fairly scarce original 1957 copy of "The Chirping Crickets" by The Crickets. This was released by Brunswick Records as BL 54038. This was their debut album and launched Buddy Holly's career. A real piece of rock history!
The vinyl is visually graded a G, and shows many surface scuffs and much wear. It plays much better than it looks, as I had to test this one. Has the pops and crackle you would expect, but seems to track well. The labels are clean but do show multiple spindle marks. The cover is rated a G, with a six inch top seam split, a four inch bottom seam split, a few circular indentations, corner bumping and shelf wear to report. The inner sleeve is generic and thought to be original. It is what it is. I tend to grade conservatively. You won't be disappointed.
So, if this rather rare early original pressing of a debut LP by one of rock's true pioneers will fill a gap in that collection of yours, why not toss in a bid? Offered at a low open and NO RESERVE!!
Before you bid, please read the fine print
Bid with confidence that your record will be packed properly and shipped promptly. All LP's are cleaned on a Nitty Gritty record cleaning machine, inserted into new anti static sleeves and then into new 3 mil outer sleeves prior to shipping. I ship only in new designated record shipping cartons with reinforced inserts.
I try to describe items as honestly and accurately as possible. I encourage questions, but please ask them prior to bidding. It will help avoid confusion.
California buyers will be charged 7.75% sales tax unless a signed California resale card is provided prior to shipping. Just a number won't due.
I charge only actual shipping costs plus a small "handling fee". Ebay has a gag order on us about discussing insurance, so this covers insurance, delivery confirmation and the extra shipping costs recently imposed on sellers. Sorry!
I will contact the winner after the auction with exact shipping costs. Please wait for the invoice!
If your feedback is less than 5, please contact me prior to bidding, or your bid may be cancelled.
International buyers please note; Purchaser is responsible for all customs fees and tariffs applied to item purchased. I always disclose on customs forms, Always!!
Well, that's out of the way. Now, let's have some fun!!
Thanks for looking & GOOD LUCK!!
All items shipped within 48 hours (usually within 24 hours) of cleared payment. All items sold "AS IS".
Your payment must be received within five days from the date of the end of the auction. Unless prior arrangements have been made, an unpaid item dispute will be filed with ebay. If PayPal is an issue, please email me for other options.
