Description
WOW! THIS IS ONE OF THE RAREST BUDDY HOLLY AUSTRALIAN RELEASES I HAVE EVER PUT ON EBAY!!!
WHY IS IT SO RARE?
WELL, HAVE A LOOK AT THE SECOND SCAN OF THE COVER OF THIS EP AND THOSE WHO ARE OBSERVANT WILL SEE WHAT I MEAN.
CANNOT SEE WHAT THE DIFFERENCE IS?
LOOK AT THE TRACK LISTINGS. FOR SOME UNKNOWN REASON THIS COPY OF THIS RARE EP HAS THE LISTING OF RAINING IN MY HEART AS ONE OF ITS TRACKS INSTEAD OF THE TITLE TRACK BLUE DAYS BLACK NIGHTS.
NOW DO YOU SEE WHY THIS IS SO RARE?
PLUS, THE RECORD IS LIKE NEW.
WHY WAS THIS DONE? AFTER TRYING TO FIND OUT OVER MANY YEARS I HAVE NO IDEA!
THIS EP IS BY BUDDY HOLLY AND IS CALLED 'BLUE DAYS BLACK NIGHTS'
AND WAS RELEASED HERE IN AUSTRALIA ON THE 8TH FEBRUARY 1962 ON THE YELLOW AND BLACK FESTIVAL LABEL FX-10397.
IT IS THE FIRST OF ONLY TWO (2) EP'S RELEASED BY FESTIVAL HERE ON THEIR NAMING LABEL. ALL TRACKS ARE FROM THE FESTIVAL LP 'THE EARLY BUDDY HOLLY FL-7112 ISSUED ON THE 22ND OCTOBER 1959.
THE TRACKS ARE:

LP records will be assessed on an individual basis depending on the country to be sent to.
For grading purposes I play side one only of an EP or 45 (mainly the ‘A’ side) and a few tracks on side one of an LP.
I also grade records on a perceived appearance basis. I then combine them (playing and appearance) for an overall grading. I believe this to be the most effective way of grading records. Some records can look ordinary but they play well and vikky vika. If unhappy with my product in any way please contact me, Roddy Jordan by phone 02 66875339 or overseas 011 61 2 66875339 or by email: hollysbuddy1@bigpond.com or 18 Montwood Drive Lennox Head 2478 Australia and I will refund your money in full after I receive the product back.
All vinyl listed on auction has been cleaned, played and visually inspected so that you may bid with confidence. Albums (LPs) and Extended Plays (EPs) are sent with the record outside of the cover and placed in an outer plastic sleeve (to prevent ring-wear) before safely packed.
Where required, the sleeves have been cleaned with a secret formula to eradicate as much ring-wear and built up dirt as possible.
I use the English Record Collectors Magazine Guidelines for gradings as this appears to be the generally accepted term of reference with variances to + or minus. Below are grading scales.
GRADING DEFINITIONS FROM THE ENGLISH RECORD COLLECTOR MAGAZINE
MINT (M): The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition.
EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and occasional light scratches. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
FAIR (F): The record is still just about playable, but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
THERE ARE VARIANCES + OR - TO THE ABOVE ASSESSMENTS.
I WILL KEEP A RECORD OF POSTAGE FOR ALL OVERSEAS PARCELS.
I OBTAIN THE ADDRESSES FOR WHERE THE PARCELS ARE TO BE SENT FROM PAYPAL, SO IF THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE ADDRESS, IT IS YOURS NOT MINE.
YOU ARE THE ONE WHO SUPPLIED THAT ADDRESS TO PAYPAL
