Up for sale from 1958 Buddy Holly "That'll Be The Day" DL-8707 COVER is in VG Cond.with a little browning from age on back side.Back of cover in the middle was torn at one point about 1/2 way across,and appears top was split all the way across also,then both areas were glued back together very carefully.Bottom seam is peeling but still intact,spine has 1' of paper missing and is peeling from age.If not for all this it would make VG++ because front cover is actully pretty nice and no writing at all.RECORD is VG+ has lots of hairline scratches,but none can be felt.It seems the owner must have had a record cleaning machine or something,because when you look in the light in the trail off vinyl it has noticable light swirl marks.I played this and it sounds really clean with very little distractions at all.Labels have very small spindle marks around the hole which leave the labels very clean and bright black.I had purchased this record years ago on Ebay from someone that had over rated the condition of it, and had paid way to much for it,and being one of the few times that I was disappointed here.Anyway I am putting a reserve on this for less than half of what I paid for it then,which is more then fair,so that the winner will be satisfied.To give you a hint on my reserve I had paid $321.79 for it,and is a steal for my low reserve.These black and silver labels are almost non existent now and book value is quite high.IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS PLEASE E MAIL ME.I ALSO HAVE MORE PICTURES IF YOU ARE INTERESTED,LEAVE ME YOUR E MAIL AND I WILL SEND THEM.thanks for looking !..
